Making sure that your pond water is healthy is paramount for making sure your fish thrive. Wayside sell a range of test kits including tablet, liquid and strip tests which can measure water parameters such as pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate and KH.

If you are worried about your fish health or behaviour, the first thing to do is always test the water. Most problems and infections in fish are caused by the water quality, so it's important to know if the water balance isn't correct so you can correct this to prevent further issue or infection before treating. If you try to treat the problem before the cause has been resolved, then the problem will resurface after the treatment is finished.
