Sediment and sludge deposits build up in ponds due to
leaching, fish excrement and organic waste following an algae treatment. The
low oxygen concentration at the bottom of the pond leads to the formation of
putrefactive bacteria and bad odours. SediFree contains high-performance
bacteria for the degradation of organic sludge deposits.
Sedifree is doubly effective because it contains two active
substances. The two-component system with active oxygen granulate accelerates
sludge degradation and specifically prevents sludge accumulation and continuous
turbidity.
The granulate containing active oxygen sinks deep into the
sludge layer and oxidises it. These compensate for the lack of oxygen in the
sludge and add highly active sludge-degradation microorganisms. Microorganisms
then degrade the organic material.
Ideal conditions for this are when the water temperature is
12°C or above.
