Pond Filtration Systems and Pressure Filters, Nottinghamshire, UK
Box Filters
Pond filtration is a very broad subject and we would recommend a personal visit to Wayside Water Gardens to discuss your own individual requirements.
Wayside are stockists of several ranges of filters. The most popular are pump fed systems where the filter is raised above the pond in a rockery etc and fed by a submersible pump using flexible pipes. The water is pumped up to the filter and returns back via gravity (down hill) to the pond.

Pressure Filters
Pressure filters are also a popular option as their compact design means they can easily be hidden away in an out building or buried partially into the ground. Because they are pressure sealed this means the water exiting the filter can still be fed to a fountain or waterfall.

All In Ones
If you only have a very small pool or nature pond there is an even better option. An all-in-one pump/filter/U.V. will help keep the water clear and well oxygenated. These are installed in the pond making them easy to conceal.

Ultra Violets Clarifiers (U.V.)
U.V. clarifiers are an important addition to your filter, often built into the filter or mounted on the side of the filter, they work by allowing the water to pass closely by a germisidal tube emitting large amounts of U.V. light. As the algae passes by the U.V. light breakes down the cell structure and destroys the algae.
